Designated as “ lectotype ” by Tölken (1985: 62 – 63), corrected to neotype by Figueiredo & Smith (2017: 111) (neotype K). Epitype (designated here): — SOUTH AFRICA. Eastern Cape province. — 3325 (Gqeberha): seven km north of Kariega (– CD), in humic soils in the undergrowth of dense, impenetrable vegetation in the Albany Thicket Biome. Flowered in cultivation on 12 March 2022. G. F. Smith & E.
