0381F60AFFE4FFF0A9DCFF20FE22F91F.taxon	discussion	The protologue of Triticum obtusifolium includes a description in Latin, followed by a diagnosis “ T. caespitosum DC. cui affinis, differ foliis pungentibus longioribus patulo-rectis, spicâ multispiculatâ. Brachypodium obtusifolium Link. forsan ad mean plantam spectat ”, and the provenance “ Hab. in montanis calcareis in Sierra Tejeda et Sierra Nevada alt. 4000 ’ – 6500 ’. ”. The type of Triticum obtusifolium was designated by Burdet et al. (1981: 581) as: “ Lectotypus: a, b, c) Etiquettes imprimées: Herb. E. Boissier. // Triticum obtusifolium Boiss. El. nº 199 / in montanis calcar. Regn. Granat. / Jul. 1837. / G, ex herbier Boissier (4 feuilles). / Obs. 1. Etiquette de “ classement ” de l’herbier Boissier: Brachypodium obtusifolium! Boiss. / Triticum obtusifolium / Boiss. / Brachypodium Boissieri Nym. [m. Boissier]. / 2. Le lectotype est le specimen de droite sur la feuille qui comporte l’étiquette de “ classement ”. La part comprend de nombreux isotypes ” [The lectotype is the specimen on the right on the sheet which has the label of “ classification. The sheet includes many isotypes]. On the other hand, Schippmann (1990: 182, 187) also mentioned “ Type: “ in montanis calcar. Regn. Granat. ”, VII. 1837, E. Boissier, K, isotype) ”. Certainly, there are two herbarium sheets at K, with barcodes K 000913827 and K 000913865, which bears material of the same collection on July 1837 by E. Boissier of Brachypodium boissieri from “ in montanis calcar. Regn. Granat. ”. These two sheets bears the same printed label of Boissier “ Herb. E. Boissier. / Triticum obtusifolium Boiss El. nº 199. / in montanis calcar. Regn. Granat. / Jul. 1837. ”, and a label handwritten by Schippmann as “ typus ” of the name. Finally, there are also several original specimens in the Boissier herbarium at G, with barcodes G 00164320 [four herbarium sheets], G 00164322 [three herbarium sheets], G 00164321, and a duplicate material at C 10016814. All the sheets bears the same Boissier’s printed label, this material can therefore be treated as belonging to the same collection. Note: The nomenclatural act proposed in this work makes the names Brachypodium obtusifolium and Triticum obtusifolium heterotypic synonyms. This situation allows to pose the following question: if a specimen is designated as a neotype (or holotype or lectotype) of a name that (the same specimen) is also the isotype of another name, are both names homotypic synonyms? Whose answer is: no, they would not be homotypic. In ICN Art. 7.1: “ The application of names of taxa at the rank of family or below is determined by means of nomenclatural types (types of names of taxa) ”, which is further expanded in Art. 8.1: “ The type (holotype, lectotype, or neotype) of a name of a species or infraspecific taxon is either a single specimen conserved in one herbarium or other collection or institution, or a published or unpublished illustration ”. Note that in Art. 52.2: “ definite inclusion of the type of a name is effected by citation of (a) the holotype ” and in Art. 48.2: “ exclusion of a type means exclusion of (a) the holotype ”, there is no reference to an “ isotype ”.	en	Ferrer-Gallego, P.
