Atimuropsis inaequalis Thomson 1868: 163 .

Remarks. Inadvertently, Santos-Silva et al. (2019) synonymized a senior synonym with a junior synonym: Adetus cylindricus was considered synonym of Adetus inaequalis . Herein we are reporting the correct order of the synonymy: A. inaequalis is equal to A. cylindricus , and the latter is the valid name of the species.

Apomorrisia nom. nov.

Morrisia Santos-Silva, Nascimento & Wappes, 2019: 16 (non Morrisia Davidson, 1852 , Brachiopoda, Terebratulida , Platidiidae ).

Type species. Adetus squamosus Chemsak & Noguera, 1995 (original designation for Morrisia ).

Included species: Apomorrisia pulchra (Santos-Silva, Nascimento & Wappes, 2019) , comb. nov. ; Apomorrisia squamosa (Chemsak & Noguera, 1995) , comb. nov. ; and Apomorrisia skillmani (Gutiérrez & Santos-Silva, 2022) , comb. nov.

Remarks. Santos-Silva et al. (2019) described Morrisia and included two species: M. squamosa (Chemsak & Noguera, 1995) , and Apomorrisia pulchra Santos-Silva, Nascimento & Wappes, 2019 . Recently, Gutiérrez & SantosSilva (2022) described Apomorrisia skillmani .

Douglas Yanega (UCERM - University of California, Entomology Research Museum, Riverside, California, USA) informed (personal communication) us about the homonymy with Morrisia Davidson, 1852 ( Platidiidae , Brachiopoda). Therefore, in order to comply with article 52 of the ICZN (1999), Apomorrisia is proposed here as a replacement name for Morrisia Santos-Silva, Nascimento & Wappes, 2019 .

Etymology. Apomorrisia, Greek , από (apo) (from, away from, out of—used to form the genus name Apomecyna Audinet-Serville, 1835 , type genus of Apomecynini) added to Morrisia . Feminine gender.
