Spurgeon (16°25' S, 145°12'E), is probably a valid species. Dickman et al. (1988) showed that A. stuartii in E New South Wales is actually divided into two quite distinct species: A. stuartii north of about 35°S, and an undescribed species mainly south of this latitude (but recurring farther north and inland at Mt.
