Notes: Achrus taghizadehi and A. caligonicolus were described by Dlabola (1981) from the southeast of Iran. Dlabola indicated different colors (green for A. taghizadehi and brown for A. caligonicolus), slight differences in the adult size, different curvature of aedeagal shaft, size and distinctness of aedeagal teeth, the length of teeth row on the aedeagal shaft, shape of stylus apex and some other characters as diagnostic for these species. Our examination of the paratypes of A. taghizadehi deposited in HMIM and other specimens from different parts of Iran, including two specimens from south of Kerman, close to the type locality of A. caligonicolus, showed that only two populations — one in Yazd province in central Iran and another in south of Kerman have brown color, while all other specimens were entirely greenish except for some from Kerman and Yazd provinces with brown apical halves of forewings. Male genitalia structure of 17 dissected specimens showed some structural variation without correlation with coloration of the specimens (figs 1 a – d) and the diagnoses provided by Dlabola (1981) were variable in some cases. The material examined matches with the illustration of A. albicosta by Gnezdilov et al. (2021) and confirms the suggested synonymy of Achrus caligonicolus Dlabola, 1981 and Achrus taghizadehi Dlabola, 1981 with A. albicosta (Kusnezov, 1929). A. albicosta was already recorded from China, Mongolia, Middle Asia and Eastern Anatolia (Mitjaev & Huang, 1995; Gnezdilov et al., 2021). A. taghizadehi and A caligonicolus were recorded from southeast, northeast and central Iran (Chahak, Gorgan, Isfahan, Kerman, Nough, and Yazd Provinces) by Dlabola (1981), Barkhordari et al. (1981), Mirzayans (1995), and Shamszadeh (2002). These records of A. albicosta in Iran, along with more localities recorded here (Fig. 26), fill the gap in distribution of this species from Middle Asia to eastern Anatolia without crossing the wall-like Alborz Mountains in the north of Iran. Mirzayans (1995) recorded this species from Pistacia vera and the material listed above shows the species also occurs on Tamarix and on cotton fields at 940 – 1689 m a. s. l.	en	Mozaffarian, Fariba, Gnezdilov, Vladimir M. [print] ” // “ Idiocerus / prodigiosus ” [hand written] (ZIN). Notes: Idiocerus prodigiosus was described by Melichar (1902) based on a long series of specimens (13 females and 4 males). The species was originally described from two provinces in southeast of Iran (Kerman, Bampur, and Taftan as in fig. 27) (Melichar, 1902). Unfortunately, the precise location for “ Khunikaka ” in Kerman province is not clear. It was mentioned as an Iranoeramian faunal element by Dlabola (1981), occurring on desert plants, e. g. Calligonum.	en	Mozaffarian, Fariba, Gnezdilov, Vladimir M. (2022): Leafhoppers of the tribe Adelungiini (Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadellidae: Megophthalminae) in Iran. The species was described based on three females from Kerki and later recorded from Repetek in Turkmenistan (Haupt, 1917; Kusnezov, 1929). Fifty years later it was recorded from Uzbekistan (Dubovsky, 1966) and Kazakhstan (Mitjaev, 1971). In Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan Calligonum spp. were mentioned as its host plants (Kaplin, 1993; Mitjaev, 2002). No. 159 (HMIM) designated by J. Dlabola in his original description of Adelungia primigena (Dlabola, 1984) was listed without indication of the museum for its depository. Our review of archived communication between J. Dlabola and H. Mirzayans discovered that Dlabola sent this specimen to Tehran before completing and publishing his study on genus Adelungia. This specimen was then mentioned by Mirzayans (1995) and Mozaffarian (2017) in the lists of Auchenorrhyncha of HMIM. However, in fact, the specimen mentioned above from Bampur belongs to Adelungia elegans. The species is known as endemic to Iran and was already recorded from Bampur, Bazman, Espakeh, and Hajiabad in the southeast of the country (Dlabola, 1984, Mirzayans, 1995). Sistan & Baluchestan, 42 nymphs, Iranshahr — Espakeh Rd., 26 ° 54 ′ 54.3 ′′ N 60 ° 30 ′ 40 ′′ E, 25. iv. 2012, 887 m, true desert on Tamarix, Mozaffarian leg. (HMIM). Notes: The nymph from Kerman Province (Dowlatabad, 8 – 9. v. 1973) deposited in HMIM and labeled by J. Dlabola as paratype and then mentioned in the lists of Auchenorrhyncha of HMIM (Mirzayans, 1995; Mozaffarian, 2017). Our review of archived communication between J. Dlabola and H. Mirzayans discovered that Dlabola sent this specimen to Tehran more than three years before publishing the description of Adelungia tridigitata. This may be why the nymph is missed in the type series of original description of A. tridigitata (Dlabola, 1984). The illustration published by Dlabola in 1981 for the habitus of A. elegans Melichar (fig. 164) actually belongs to A. tridigitata which was described later (Dlabola, 1984). The species is endemic to Iran and limited in its distribution to southwest of the country (Dowlatabad (Hajiabad), Espakeh, Jask, Kahnuj (Dlabola, 1984, Mirzayans, 1995). The species is closely related or even a junior synonym of Adelungia breviceps Kusnezov, 1931 described after the series of specimens from Turkmenistan (Kusnezov, 1931) and later placed in synonymy under Adelungia calligoni Oshanin, 1908 by Emeljanov (1975). Our comparison of the head drawing by Kusnezov (1931, fig. 3) with the habitus drawing by Dlabola (1981, fig. 164) revealed close similarity of A. breviceps and A. tridigitata, however, for final decision male genitalia structure of the types of both species have to be compared.	en	Mozaffarian, Fariba, Gnezdilov, Vladimir M. Notes: The species was originally recorded from Iranshahr in southeast of Iran (Dlabola, 1960 a) and Gnezdilov (2021) recently recorded it from Bampur. Mirzayans (1995) mentioned this species from northeast of Iran (Gonbadkavus, gray dot in fig. 33). However, the last record may be an error due to the absence of this specimen in HMIM. Our data expands the known distribution of this species to the west of Iran (Fig. 33). The species was collected from March to December on 20 – 700 m a. l. s. Further collecting in south of Fars province may connect the two isolated distribution records of the species in southeast and southwest of the country (Fig. 33).	en	Mozaffarian, Fariba, Gnezdilov, Vladimir M. Comparison of drawings by Dubovsky (1968) with the original description by Dlabola (1960 b) showed their identity and accordingly we suggest to treat Melicharella pascualis Dubovsky, 1968 described from Uzbekistan (Bukhara province) and collected on Calligonicum (Dubovsky, 1968) as a junior synonym of Melicharella basalis Dlabola, 1960.	en	Mozaffarian, Fariba, Gnezdilov, Vladimir M.
