Note: only G. multipulsator Weissman, 2009 from North America present more than 12 P/ch, as occurs with Gryllus sp.5. Here we supported Gryllus sp.5 as a distinct sonotype due to the great geographical distance separating both species, and the greater number of pulses per chirp of the Gryllus sp.5.
