(Neo.) quatei is a new country record for India. Holotype female and paratypes were recorded from Sepilok, Borneo (Lewis 1978). This species was also recorded from Thailand (Apiwathnasorn et al. 1989) and Malaysia (Shahar et al. 2011; Polseela et al. 2011). During the collection in Andaman Islands, a total of 22 specimens (male 7 female 15) were collected. Identification of the species was confirmed based on the taxonomic features of cibarium and spermathecae of females and cibarium and genitalia of male specimens. Distribution of Se. (Neo.) quatei with date of collection in Andaman Islands is as follows: Dhasarathpur (12°29” N and 92°54” E) in human dwelling (1 male, 3 female), V-30-2018; Radha krishnan nagar (13°14” N and 92°59” E), in human dwelling (3 female) V-31-2018; Hathilevel in Diglipur (13°24” N and 92°54” E), in human dwelling (2 male, 1 female), VI-01- 2018; Panighat in Mayabunder (12°53” N and 92°52” E) in human dwelling (3 male, 5 female) tree hole (2 females) and bushes (1 male, 1 female), VI-02-2018.
