03B387812C76416D2D71F996FD11FA72.taxon	description	(Cladoniaceae) thalli were collected in July 2017 (Scandinavian samples) and April 2018 (Polish samples), along a North-Central Europe transect, from Norway to Poland, and properly identified by one of the authors (MW). The samples were collected every 100 km, except for the last two samples, as no natural habitats of C. mitis were found in Central Poland. The transect represented areas that obviously differed in their latitude, but also in altitude and sunlight exposure (open or forest areas). GPS data on latitude and altitude were complemented with data from WorldClim model (Fick and Hijmans, 2017), including temperature and precipitation (averaged for the month of sample collection). The details of the exact samples collection sites are presented in Table 4 and Fig. 5. Voucher specimens are deposited in the herbarium of the Department of Pharmacognosy JU MC (for reference number see Table 1).	en	Galanty, Agnieszka, Węgrzyn, Michał, Wietrzyk-Pełka, Paulina, Fołta, Maria, Kro, Mirosław, sniak, Podolak, Irma, Zagrodzki, Paweł (2021): Quantitative variations of usnic acid and selected elements in terricolous lichen Cladonia mitis Sandst., with respect to different environmental factors - A chemometric approach.
