0D38879F616FFF93ACAAFC61FB00F9BE.taxon	discussion	Notes: Bentham (1848) described Stachys palaestina var. hypoleuca based on specimens held at K and G, collected by G. W. Schimper from Mount Aber near Dschenausa, Ethiopia. However, following the conventions of the time, no holotype was specified. The author located twenty specimens (BR 0000008365347, E 00193541, G 00684519, HAL 0115125, K 000193069, K 000193100, L. 2869301, L. 2869302, LG 0000090027666, M 0104779, M 0104780, P 02989946, P 02989947, P 02989949, TUB 003852, US 00512897, W 0006977, W 18890027616, WAG 0001754 and ZT 00080117) collected by G. W. Schimper from Mount Aber near Dschenausa, Ethiopia for the name S. palaestina Linnaeus (1763: 1674) var. hypoleuca Bentham (1848: 491). During the selection of a lectotype for the name S. palaestina Linnaeus (1763: 1674) var. hypoleuca Bentham (1848: 491), the specimens at K (K 000193069 and K 000193100) and G (G 00684519) were taken into consideration, as Bentham had referenced these in the protologue of S. palaestina var. hypoleuca. Among these three specimens, G 00684519, being the best-preserved and most fitting the protologue description, is designated here as the lectotype	en	Singh, Rajeev Kumar (2023): Stachys richardiana nom. nov., a replacement name for S. hypoleuca (Lamiaceae).
