Included in the subgenus Indotricondyla as the body length is greater than 19 mm, pronotum is long and subrectangular in shape, elytra long and subparallel with a weak gibbosity. The species is defined by the smooth head, smooth pronotum that is barely striated, elytral sculpture formed by small and shallow cavities like the tiles of the roof. Included in the subgenus Derocrania, as the body length is greater than 14 mm, body robust with a long head, long vertex behind the eyes and transverse sculpture on pronotum. Aedeagus very thin and bent dorsally at the apex. Included in the subgenus Derocrania, as body length is greater than 14 mm, body robust with a long head, long vertex behind the eyes, transverse sculpture on pronotum. The species is defined by the very large bright black head with prominent eyes, black coloured thin antennae with a constant thickness, clearly separated neck and occiput, long pronotum that is slightly striated transversely, sub-parallel sided collum that has transverse striations, widened elytra with a marked gibbosity and entirely sculptured, sculpture on elytra as polygonal dimples in the first half that are stretched lengthwise and grouped into sinuous wrinkles in the second half, all parts of the legs are black and black ventral side (Fig. 9).</p> <p>Distribution: Species known only from Sri Lanka. Included in the subgenus Stenocollyris by round and very broad head with voluminous eyes, deep interocular excavation, long filiform antennae, long pronotum with transverse striations. The species is defined by the rounded head that is not very broad, wide neck, narrow and deep interocular excavation, antennae black with reddish 3 and 4 articles, antennal scape relatively large, black labrum that is semi-circular in shape, maxillary and labial palps dark brown in colour, penultimate item of labial palp golden, width of pronotum smallest at 2/3 of the length, top of pronotum subrectilinear in lateral view, elytra subparallel with rounded shoulders, elytral apex broadly truncated, elytral sculpture extends to the apex and consists of polygonal pits. Long legs with reddish brown femurs and dark brown tibiae and tarsi (Figs. 11, 12, 13).</p> <p>Distribution: Species known only from Sri Lanka.
