Members of the genus are externally quite similar to certain species of Sesapa (Figs 15, 16; illustrated by Volynkin (2017, 2019) and Wu (2019 )) and the differences between genera can be found in genitalia structures. The autapomorphic feature in the male genitalia is an extremely long distal diverticulum of the vesica which is bifurcated in most species (except for H. aulaca sp. n.). The similarly elongate diverticulum is also known in the genus Integrivalvia Volynkin & S. - Y. Huang, 2019 (illustrated by Volynkin et al. (2019 )) but in the latter it has a curved sclerotized basal plate and is never bifurcated. The valva structure of Hampsonascia is similar to that of certain groups of Miltochrista and strongly dissimilar to that of Sesapa (Figs 31, 32; illustrated by Volynkin (2017; 2019) and Wu (2019, partim )) due to the elongate distal section of the costa forming a distal process whereas the costa of Sesapa is short and terminates in the middle or in the distal two thirds of valva without forming a process (an autapomorphic feature of the genus). Additionally, the juxta of Hampsonascia is entirely sclerotized whereas in Sesapa it is subdivided into two lateral parts by a very narrow medial longitudinal membranous commissure. The female genitalia of the two genera are similar in the presence of lateral subostial lobes but different in other aspects. The autapomorphic feature of Hampsonascia is the extremely elongate densely spinulose appendix bursae with a basal section directed anteriorly and a distal section strongly curved inwardly with a tip directed posteriorly, the structure well-fitting the extremely elongate distal diverticulum in males. Unlike Hampsonascia, the appendix bursae of Sesapa is short and apically membranous and directed posteriorly. The new species is very similar externally to H. dentifascia but differs in the somewhat smaller size, the thinner pattern elements and the somewhat shorter zigzags of the postmedial line. Additionally, females have somewhat narrower forewing than in H. dentifascia. The reliable identification is possible by the examination of genital structures. The genital capsules and the aedeagi of the two species are very similar. In the vesica of H. thaifascia sp. n., the subbasal chamber bears a cluster of numerous small conical cornuti laterally which is absent in H. dentifascia. The medial diverticulum of the new species is somewhat broader than that of H. dentifascia. Additionally, in H. thaifascia sp. n., the shorter lobe of the distal diverticulum is evenly broad and only slightly dilated subapically whereas that of H. dentifascia is narrower proximally and medially and strongly drop-like dilated distally. In the female genitalia of the new species, the subostial lobes are somewhat wider than in H. dentifascia and the ductus bursae is somewhat wider. The new species is reminiscent of H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. but differs in the presence of three subbasal spots (whereas H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. have only two spots) and the presence of a slight bluish suffusion in the middle area of the forewing. Additionally, the female of H. phukha sp. n. has an elongate, dash-shaped discal spot similar to that of the male whereas those of H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. are smaller and comma-like. The male genital capsule of the new species differs from those of H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. in the somewhat distally narrower and somewhat more dorsally curved valva, the thicker and more apically rounded distal costal process, the smaller medial costal process and the basally narrower distal saccular process. The vesica of H. phukha sp. n. is somewhat shorter than those of H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. (in proportion to the aedeagus length) and has an evenly distally dilated shorter lobe of the distal diverticulum which is shorter and drop-like dilated in H. dentifascia and very slightly dilated in H. thaifascia sp. n. Additionally, the subbasal chamber of the new species lacks a lateral cluster of cornuti which is present in H. thaifascia sp. n. The female genitalia of H. phukha sp. n. differ from those of H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. in the wider ductus bursae, the shorter posterior spinulose cluster of the corpus bursae and the smaller signum bursae. 03FE87F1A970F569F2D7F9E7DFD0FD67.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. The forewing length is 8.5 – 9.5 mm in males and 10.5 – 11 mm in females. The new species differs externally from its congeners in the yellowish pink medial area of the forewing and the somewhat less curved medial line. The male genital capsule is similar to that of H. aulaca sp. n. but differs clearly in the longer valva (in proportion to the tegumen-vinculum complex length) with a wider and rounded distal costal process which is narrowly triangular and apically pointed in H. aulaca sp. n. Additionally, the sacculus of H. saldaitisi sp. n. is less setose than in H. aulaca sp. n. and the distal saccular process is distally tapered and apically pointed (rounded in the congener). The vesica of H. saldaitisi sp. n. is markedly narrower than in H. aulaca sp. n., bears smaller clusters of shorter spines and has a bilobate distal diverticulum which is unilobate in the congener. The female of H. aulaca sp. n. is unknown therefore the female genitalia of H. saldaitisi sp. n. can be compared only with those of species of the dentifascia species-group. The ductus bursae of the new species is longer and narrower than those of the dentifascia species-group, the posterior section of the corpus bursae is more heavily sclerotized laterally, and the medial section of the corpus bursae bears larger spinules. Hampsonascia aulaca sp. n. is externally reminiscent of H. dentifascia and H. thaifascia sp. n. but can be distinguished in the smaller size, the presence of three subbasal spots and the shorter and broader zigzags of the postmedial line. The male genitalia of the new species are clearly different from those of other congeners by the broader vesica bearing four clusters of large spines and having an unilobate distal diverticulum, a feature unique within the genus.
