03F33310DA3BFF845DB5FDBCFD98F9E6.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Razowski (1989) regarded two characters, namely the process of cucullus (pollex) and the form of membrane connecting upper part of basal process of valva, as supposed autapomorphies. However, the latter character was not recognized by Kawabe & Nasu (1994) and Zhang & Li (2004). Kawabe & Nasu (1994) put forward two autapomorphies of Gibberifera, i. e. forewing with a large whitish trapezoidal marking occupying apical 4 / 5, consisting of a wide median fascia and a large round ocelloid patch and cucullus with a slender process on the ventral angle, bearing a short spine apically, which was supported by Zhang & Li (2004). These two characters are also found on the specimens in this study.	en	Zhang, Aihuan (2021): Review of Gibberifera Obraztsov (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) from China, with description of a new species. 03F33310DA38FF875DB5FDF3FC2AF8CD.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. This species is similar to G. monticola Kuznetzov, but can be distinguished by darker grey forewing; in the male genitalia by uncus having straight end and vesica with four (arranged in two pairs) non-deciduous spinous cornuti; in the female genitalia by the sterigma which is represented by a wide oblong sclerite, and having the anterior and posterior edge each with a prominence, the four angles are blunt, ductus bursae is longer than the corpus bursae, the corpus bursae is pear-shaped. In G. monticola the forewing is light grey; in the male genitalia the uncus is blunt and round apically and the vesica has two or more (not arranged in pairs) non-deciduous cornuti apically; in the female genitalia the median part and two posterior angles of the sterigma are protuberant, ductus bursae is shorter than the corpus bursae, and the corpus bursae is large and globular. This species is also similar to G. clavata Zhang in appearance, but can be separated by the uncus having straight end, the saccular angle is obtuse and the vesica has four (arranged in two pairs, one pair longer than the other) nondeciduous spinous cornuti. In the latter species the uncus is blunt and round apically, the saccular angle is blunt and non-deciduous cornuti are absent.	en	Zhang, Aihuan (2021): Review of Gibberifera Obraztsov (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) from China, with description of a new species. 03F33310DA39FF815DB5F891FDB7FC7D.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species was considered as a subspecies of G. simplana (Fischer von Röslerstamm) by Diakonoff (1964) based on the similarity of wing pattern and genitalia. Kawabe & Nasu (1994) upgraded it to species level based on the presence of a bifurcated uncus and a non-deciduous cornutus. Subsequently it has always been regarded as an independent species of Gibberifera (Liu & Li, 2002; Zhang & Li, 2004; Gilligan et al., 2018). The male genitalia of this species is characteristic by having the uncus shallowly or deeply bifurcated and the vesica with one or two non-deciduous cornuti.	en	Zhang, Aihuan (2021): Review of Gibberifera Obraztsov (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) from China, with description of a new species.
