This new species is similar with C. concinnum but differs in broadly lanceolate floral bracts, yellow-white flowers, sepals and petals with pale yellow-green veins, lip with purple-red spots on the midlobe, lateral lobes glabrous adaxially, and lip callus with lamellae apically converging but not fused to each other. Epiphytic or terrestrial herbs. Pseudobulbs subelliptical, slightly bilaterally flattened, 3.0 – 7.0 × 3.0 – 4.0 cm, enclosed in persistent leaf bases. Leaves 8 – 14, lorate, 50.0 – 87.0 cm × 1.0 – 1.5 cm, apex acuminate and unlobed, articulate 6.0 – 13.0 cm from the base. Scape arising from leaf axils, arching, 35.0 – 73.0 cm long, with 6 – 9 sheaths in lower part; inflorescence lax, 5 – 27 flowers; floral bracts broadly lanceolate, 2 – 4 mm long; pedicel and ovary 2.5 – 2.8 cm long; flowers 5.0 – 6.0 cm in diameter, fully opening, scented, yellow-white; sepals and petals with pale yellowgreen veins; lip with pale purple-red veins on the lateral lobes and some purple-red spots on the midlobe; lamellae yellowish spotted with purple-red; dorsal sepals narrowly oblong-elliptic, 3.5 – 4.1 × 0.7 – 0.8 cm, slightly concave, apex acute; lateral sepals oblong-elliptic, slightly oblique, 3.5 – 3.7 × 0.7 – 0.8 cm; petals broadly ligulate, slightly oblique, 3.3 – 3.5 × 0.4 – 0.5 cm, apex acute; lip oblong-ovate in outline, 3.1 – 3.4 × 1.5 – 1.8 cm, trilobed, base fused to the basal margins of the column for 1 – 2 mm; lateral lobes erect, enclosing the column, adaxially glabrous; midlobe broadly elliptic, 5 – 7 × 5 – 7 mm, adaxially minutely hairy, with undulate margins; disc with 2 hairy lamellae, extending to near the base of the midlobe, apically converging but not fused to each other; column 2.7 – 2.9 cm long, winged, slightly hairy ventrally; pollinia 2, cleft.	en	Yu, Xia, Zeng, Meng-Yao, Chen, Gui-Zhen, Xu, Xin-Yu, Bi, Yuan-Yang, Chen, Jia-Ting, Wang, Qian-Qian, Hu, Wen-Qi, Zhang, Di-Yang, Liu, Zhong-Jian (2021): Cymbidium weishanense (Orchidaceae; Epidendroideae), a new species from China: evidence from morphological and molecular data.
