Head depressed dorsoventrally, slightly transverse, as wide as pronotum (Fig. 1), rostrum almost equal to the width of antennal scape, eyes large but not convex (Fig. 2A), three ocelli disposed as triangle with median one smaller, maxillary palps with distal three segments elongated and fifth segment widened. Pronotum transverse and pubescent, almost 1.5 times as wide as long, lateral lobes narrow without lateral edge. Forewing short, as long as pronotum, mirror obsolete, lateral field having 7 parallel longitudinal veins. Supra-anal plate simple, in trapezoid shaped (Fig. 2C). Tympanum oval, on outside of fore tibia only (Fig. 2D), 5/9 proximal denticles on hind tibia (outside / inner side), and with 4 pairs of articulated spines, hind basitarsus with 4-5 pairs of dorsal denticles. Abdomen pubescent with cercus long. Genitalia: male genitalia lack ramus and with apodeme principals at an acute angle. Posterolateral epiphallic lobes not widened and without dorsal denticle at or near base of each posterolateral epiphallic lobe. The distal parts of lateral lobes of epiphallus blunt; and the posterolateral epiphallic lobes with a wide cordiform space between them (Fig. 2E, F, G).

Female. Similar to male. Forewing very short, triangular in dorsal view (Fig. 2B). Ovipositor long and straight.

Coloration. Body uniformly brown; legs banded apically (Fig. 1).

Etymology. The specific epithet dingguo is for the Chinese phonetic alphabet AE国, which is the given name of Chinese national hero 李AE国.

Measurements (in mm). Male: body length (from head to anus) 20.45–21.59, pronotum length 3.19–3.32, forewing length 3.89–3.94, hind femur length 11.67–12.83; Female: body length 18.08–19.31, pronotum length 3.12–3.25, forewing length 1.34–1.44, hind femur length 12.92–13.22, ovipositor length 13.03–14.68.

Distribution. The new genus differs from other genera by a combination of the following characters: short forewings, but slightly longer than pronotum (Fig. 2A); with only outer tympanum (Fig. 2D); blunt distal parts of the male genitalia, absent of medial lobes of epiphallus, ectoparamere membranous; abdomen pubescent with cercus long. The ratio of the forewing lengths to the pronotal lengths is 1.19–1.22, which is most similar to 1.29 of Apiotarsoides Chopard, 1931. However, its structures of the male genitalia differ from Apiotarsoides, and other similar genera, such as Duolandrevus Kirby, 1906, Vasilia Grochov, 1988, Ectodrelanva Grochov, 2000 from adjacent areas in lacking ramus.

Etymology. The genus name majia- is for the Chinese phonetic alphabet Ḽm, which means a style of Chinese clothing like a waistcoat. It is used to emphasize its short forewing.

http://treatment.plazi.org/id/E32687B8FFEDFF84BAACFF49FC47FD58	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
