Strain 0082–1 isolated from forest soil (231 m elev.) collected in Hunchun City, Jilin Province, China.

Known distribution. Indonesia and China. New record for China.

Commentary. Dictyostelium multistipes was first isolated from humus and leaf mould of tropical rain forest in Indonesia, as reported by Raper (1984). The present collection is from the soil around a brook in the forest of Hunchun City situated in the Northern Hemisphere. The species is perhaps cosmopolitan, favoring somewhat moist environments.

http://treatment.plazi.org/id/8E479B73726BFFDD35DDBF2AFEB7F9D8	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
