P. barbeyi is a small to medium-sized species, with body length (excluding ovipositor) of 6.7 - 11.8 mm, fore wing length 5.1 - 8.1 mm; ovipositor length 1.3 x fore wing length (holotype), but variable length among specimens from Turkey.
