DISTRIBUTION: Widely distributed: Brazil (Pernambuco State), Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, U.S.A. (Florida, Texas) (Perkins 1980; Hansen 1998; Valladares & Short 2011).

HABITAT RECORDS: Halophilic species. Brackish and saltwater, beneath debris on seashore (Perkins 1980). Small pool in a large expanse of sand dunes (Valladares & Short 2011).
