Lambiella globulispora (Sipman & Aptroot) Kantvilas, comb. nov. Mycobank no. 844113

Rimularia globulispora Sipman & Aptroot, in Aptroot & Sipman (1991: 247).

Type:— PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Simbu Province, Mt Wilhelm, Pindaunde valley, near the hut on the shore of Lake Piunde, 05°47’S 145°03’E, sublapine grassland and scrub on bottom of valley, alt. 3500 m, 12 March 1987, H. Sipman 21983 (holotype − B).

Known from Papua New Guinea and Tasmania where it is rare, growing on the ground over bryophytes or thin peaty soil. This species is closely related to L. applanata, L. umbratilis and the newly described L. plumbea (see Table 1). A full description is provided by Coppins & Kantvilas (2001).
